Dr. Rituparna De

Previously the Consultant of Glaucoma Services, at the world renowned Sankara Nethralaya, Dr. Rituparna De is an extremely knowledgeable, senior clinician and a surgeon par excellence with several years of experience in the field of ophthalmology. She is now attached with B B Eye Foundation, Kolkata and other insitutes in Kolkata.

Dr De completed her D.O. in Ophthalmology at Medical Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, and also continued her education and joined the Glaucoma fellowship under the great teachers like Dr. L. Vijaya who has trained great Glaucoma Consultants at National and International levels.

During her four years of association with Sankara Nethralaya, Dr. De has always taken a keen interest in passing on his knowledge to others and has personally trained a lot of fellows in Glaucoma. Before joining as Consultant at Sankara Nethralaya, Kolkata, she was attached with Disha Eye Hospital, Barrackpore, Kolkata.

Dr. De not only practices evidence based medicine, but is also a major contributor to various international journals. She has published articles in the field of Glaucoma and has also presented a good number of presentations at national and international levels.

Dr. De has performed more than 2000 complicated surgeries and is one of the top Glaucoma surgeons in the country.
